The Dagenham Model Aero Club is affiliated to the British Model Flying Association (BMFA).
We fly a wide variety of fixed wing models powered by electric or internal combustion engines.
Until recently DMAC used to be based in Dagenham Central Park where the club had flown since the mid 1930’s, but the council have started site works within Central Park. So the council have moved the club to Leys Park, Ballards Road, Dagenham, Essex, RM10 9AJ.
Although we are primarily a fixed wing club, a few members have been dabbling with helicopters up to 300mm and quadcopters.
The club has a number of fixed wing instructors who will help newcomers to the hobby learn to fly.
An IC model must have a noise certificate confirming that it has met the requirements of the D o E Noise Code for the minimisation of Noise from Model Aircraft (Noise Code) before it can be flown from the club field.
Flying times
Weather permitting we are able to fly Monday to Friday from 10:00 until 13.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00 or Dusk whichever is earlier. (Summertime)
Weather permitting we are able to fly Monday to Friday from 10:00 until 15.00. (Wintertime)
On Saturday and Sunday or Bank Holidays, summertime flying times are 14.00 until 18.00 and wintertime flying times are12.00 until 16.00.
Subscriptions for 2024
The cost of membership for 2024 is £72.33 inclusive of BMFA and CAA registration. If you have your own BMFA, and CAA Operator ID, club fee is £15.00. There is a Start-up/admin fee for new members of £10.00.
